Censorship – Publications

Newspapers suspended publication. The Kashmir Times Srinagar edition was suspended indefinitely. Other leading newspapers, including “Rising Kashmir” and “Greater Kashmir” were suspended for a few days. On restarting publication, self-censorship was more than evident, with most of them preferring to publish soft stories on lifestyle and health.
