Standup comedian Kunal Kamra on Sunday informed the Whitefield police that he would not go ahead with his scheduled stand-up comedy shows in Bengaluru’s Whitefield after the event sparked controversy and drew opposition from Hindutva organisations.
A senior police officer from Whitefield police station told DH that Kamra visited the station and orally informed the police he had decided to cancel the event because it had become controversial and was being opposed by Hindutva activists.
