A Bengaluru court has directed YouTuber MD Sameer to delete a video and appear before it after he allegedly violated an earlier injunction related to the sensitive Dharmasthala murder case. He has been served with a court notice and a Rs 10 crore defamation lawsuit.
A popular Kannada YouTuber, MD Sameer, has been served with a Rs 10 crore defamation lawsuit and a court notice for allegedly violating a prior judicial order related to a rape and murder case in Dharmasthala, a prominent religious town in Karnataka.
The Bengaluru City Civil Court had earlier issued an injunction barring him from publishing further videos on the subject and instructed the removal of existing content. Despite this, the YouTuber reportedly released a second video, prompting legal action for contempt of court and defamation.
