Harassment – Journalists

A notice was reportedly served to journalist Aniru Asokan, a reporter with the Madhyamam daily, demanding he submit his mobile phone as part of an investigation into a July 28 report on an alleged data leak at the state Public Service Commission (PSC). Following this, the Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) staged protest marched on Tuesday, November 24, condemning the Kerala police for demanding that a journalist submit his mobile phone as part of an investigation.
