Threats – Journalists

Tensions flared outside the ABN Andhra Jyothi offices as a significant police presence was observed on Monday. The deployment follows a controversial editorial by Radha Krishna and subsequent protests by BRS party leaders.

To prevent any untoward incidents, authorities have stationed 70 police personnel in front of the ABN office and an additional 50 battalion members at the Andhra Jyothi premises. The move is aimed at maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of media personnel in the area.

Officials stated that the security measures are precautionary, in response to rising political friction and public unrest sparked by the editorial content.
