Killed – Journalists

The family of journalist Gokul Kumar, affiliated with Prabhat Khabar and a resident of Simultala police station area in Jamui district, has filed a First Information Report (FIR) at Simultala police station regarding his murder. So far, three people have been arrested in connection with the murder.

Meanwhile, a demand has also arisen for providing a job to the deceased’s wife. Regarding the incident, journalist Gokul’s brother, Mathura Yadav, mentioned in his application that last Wednesday around 10:30 in the morning, Gokul was going from his house towards Lohia Chowk to collect news.

“Ten minutes later, we heard gunshots. When we reached near Gopalmaran village, we saw Birbal Yadav riding a motorcycle and shooting at Gokul, while his brother Bhuneshwar Yadav was driving the bike.”

It was reported that Pankaj Yadav was shooting from another motorcycle while an unidentified person was riding his bike. On the third bike, Shiv Kumar Yadav and Ajay Yadav were also firing at Gokul. As soon as we were seen, all the criminals on the three motorcycles fled the scene. Among these criminals, Sarfaraz Ansari was also involved.
