In view of the situation in view of the apex court’s decision in the Ayodhya case, internet services have been suspended for 24 hours as a precautionary measure in four districts of Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh. State Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence) S W Naqvi told ‘PTI-Bhasha’, ‘‘ as a precautionary measure, internet services have been stopped in four districts Damoh, Panna, Chhatarpur and Tikamgarh from 12 pm last night.’’ He said that internet services in these districts were restarted from Sunday midnight.

He clarified that peace is maintained in all these districts and no untoward incident has been reported from anywhere. Sources said that some people in these districts wanted to take out a procession and were pressurizing the administration for permission and arrangements for it. It is noteworthy that earlier on Saturday, in view of the decision of the apex court on Ayodhya case, the administration has imposed a ban on organizing processions, protests and rallies in all the districts of the state till 30th November and had canceled all the permissions given in this regard.
