Several districts in Rajasthan, including state capital Jaipur, Bikaner and Dausa, are scheduled to face 12-hour mobile internet shutdown from 6 AM on Sunday on account of the Patwari recruitment examination. More than 15 lakh candidates are scheduled to appear in the Patwari recruitment examination in more than 20 districts in the state on Saturday, October 23 and Sunday, October 24.

Jaipur has 230 of the more than 1,100 centres meant for holding the Patwari recruitment exams. The stringent measure has been brought by district administrations to prevent paper leakage, cheating, spread of false rumours and fake news.
